We publish bestselling and award-winning audiobooks in digital and physical formats, drawing on the rich heritage of our publishing, whilst looking ahead to discovering talent and developing new brands, formats and content partnerships.

More About Audio

Our team lead an innovative, engaging and diverse audio publishing programme, giving a voice to the stories that matter. Additionally we are the global publishers of BBC Audio which includes bestselling and award-winning drama, comedy and landmark factual programmes from across the BBC radio network and archives.

We pride ourselves on the breadth of our audiobook publishing - from crime to bestselling fiction, landmark non-fiction and immersive children’s content - including authors such as Stephen Fry, James Patterson, E. L. James, Terry Pratchett, Bill Bryson, Roald Dahl and Jeff Kinney to name just a few. Our BBC list includes much-loved programmes such as Hancock's Half Hour, Cabin Pressure and Just a Minute as well as ‘made for audio’ dramatisations including Neil Gaiman, Alan Bennett and Agatha Christie.

Capturing our audience’s attention with the highest quality production values and working with the best performance talent lies at the heart of our audio programme, and our dedicated in-house recording studio ensures authors and talent are creatively at the centre of our business. We regularly work with the industry’s best voice talent including Kate Winslet, Lenny Henry, Helen Mirren, Alex Jennings and Bill Nighy.

Audiobooks are part of a larger ecosystem of intimate and portable spoken word content, from radio to podcasting and in summer 2015 we launched the new Penguin Podcast, hosted by Richard E Grant, David Baddiel, Konnie Huq and Paul Smith with the aim of encouraging a strong and habitual listening habit that drives our audiobook sales and brings audiences closer to our authors.
