Events and Experiences

Author Events

Our Penguin Live events team has run successful events and tours in theatres across the UK and Ireland with authors including Caitlin Moran, Richard Dawkins, Jacqueline Wilson, Nigella Lawson, Simon Schama, Irvine Welsh and YouTube sensations Dan & Phil. Our bestselling events are for those authors who have committed fans and a strong social media presence, which helps to secure ticket bookings. We involve a bookseller at each event for co-promotion and to maximise book sales.

Theatrical Productions & Screenings

We work with theatre producers and venues to bring classic stories to life, with productions both local and international, including Peter Rabbit, Spot and The Snowman™.

In addition to a strong publishing and licensing programme, we control and license the screening rights for both The Snowman™ and The Snowman™ and The Snowdog, including cinema screenings, festivals, and live performances accompanied by orchestras around the world.

Experiential

We work with best-in-class partners to deliver unique experiences that engage with consumers and connect them with their favourite brands. By inviting the consumer into these worlds, we strive to develop and grow both their trust and emotional experience beyond the book.

Our Penguin Live author events are backed by our team’s outstanding expertise in ticketing, contracting, production and event publicity. Our focus is on providing a memorable audience experience and a seamless mix of book and event promotion.

We have a strong and expanding network of venues across the UK and Ireland, and we are always looking out for new partners to help us develop new event formats.

Exhibitions

We hold art collections for Beatrix Potter, Cicely Mary Barker’s Flower Fairies™, and Ladybird Books, which include original illustrations, letters, and first and early editions. We work with galleries and other creative spaces around the world to bring original artwork to new audiences.
