Secondary teaching resources

We know that when books and reading feel relevant, students’ classroom engagement and empathy increases and they achieve the same if not higher attainment levels.

Secondary school, particularly Key Stage 3 and English Language specifications, provides the opportunity to introduce a variety of different texts to your classes.

To support this opportunity, we produce resources on Poetry, Non-Fiction and Fiction for KS3, and resources for KS4 that support students' exam practice, covering Literature and Language.

We also have KS5 resources  which aim to develop students' critical thinking and discussion skills.

All these resources include a variety of activities, including extracts of the selected text, videos of the author reading  extracts aloud and/or talking about the text, and interactive activities you can run with your classes. Download them all for free below.
