Terrance Dicks (Author) Terrance Dicks became Script Editor of Doctor Who in 1968, co-writing Patrick Troughton’s classic final serial, The War Games, and editing the show throughout the entire Jon Pertwee era to 1974. He wrote many iconic episodes and serials for the show after, including Tom Baker's first episode as the Fourth Doctor, Robot; Horror at Fang Rock in 1977; State of Decay in 1980; and the 20th anniversary special, The Five Doctors in 1983. Terrance novelised over sixty of the original Doctor Who stories for Target books, including classics like Doctor Who and the Abominable Snowmen and Doctor Who and the Auton Invasion, inspiring a generation of children to become readers and writers. He died in August 2019, only weeks before the publication of his final Doctor Who short story, ‘Save Yourself’, in The Target Storybook. Terence Dudley (Author) Terence Dudley was a British television director and writer whose work included several Doctor Who serials Rona Munro (Author) Rona Munro was born in Aberdeen and has written extensively for stage, film, radio and television. Her breakthrough play Bold Girls, won the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. As the writer of "Survival" and "The Eaters of Light" she is the first (and only) writer of stories for both the classic 1963-1989 series of Doctor Who and the 2005 revived series.

Doctor Who: The King's Demons

An unabridged reading of an exciting novelisation, based on a TV adventure featuring the Fifth Doctor, as played by Peter Davison.

Terence Dudley (28 September 1919 – 25 December 1988) was a television director and producer who directed many programs for the BBC over a number of years.  In the early 1970s, Dudley produced the BBC science fiction series Doomwatch. Between 1975 and 1977 he produced the series Survivors, directing many episodes. He also wrote the script for the season 3 premiere episode, entitled Manhunt. His son, Stephen Dudley, had a regular part in the program.  In 1980 he began an association with Doctor Who when he directed Meglos for John Nathan-Turner. That same year, he was asked to become producer of Blake's 7 after David Maloney was reassigned before it was known that a fourth season would be made. Dudley turned the offer down, as he no longer wished to work as a producer. The following year he embarked on a brief career as a screenwriter for Doctor Who. He wrote three scripts for the programme - Four to Doomsday, Black Orchid and The King's Demons. He novelized the latter two stories for Target Books. He also wrote the script of K-9 and Company, the unsuccessful pilot for a spin-off involving Sarah-Jane and K9.
