Alison Bond worked in the film industry for seven years before writing her debut novel How to Be Famous, published in 2005. A graduate of Bournemouth Media School, Alison currently lectures on the harsh realities of the film business as part of their MA screenwriting programme.

Lynsey Dixon never plans anything. She has no commitments and no responsibilities apart from her job at a London talent agency that specialises in neurotic actresses like Melanie Chaplin.
