About Dick Francis

Dick Francis was born in 1920. A champion steeplechase jockey and internationally bestselling author, he wrote over 40 hugely popular horseracing thrillers which sold over 60 million copies and were translated into 35 languages. After his death in 2010, his son Felix, who had helped with research for the books and co-authored the last four, took over as custodian of the brand and has since authored a number of hugely popular new Dick Francis novels.
