The Elsewhere Express

All trains, no matter how full, are empty. Every passenger’s mind wanders, journeying beyond the tracks.

One night, on her subway ride home, Raya’s thoughts travel too far. Consumed by guilt and grief over her brother’s tragic death, she has made it her mission to make her brother’s childhood dream come true. She goes to med school to become the doctor her brother had always wanted to be, pushing aside her own aspirations.

Raya wakes up on The Elsewhere Express, a train built entirely out of daydreams, orphaned ideas, and lost thoughts. Here, every passenger is a drifter, people with nothing to anchor them to their lives. Like them, Raya is untethered, going through the motions of life without a dream of her own. The Elsewhere Express’ endless, phantasmagorical journey is a chance for her to reimagine her life – but only if she finds her seat before dawn.

Unfortunately for Raya, another passenger named Daniel holds an identical train ticket and only one of them can stay. As they race to find their place on the train, they realize that an old darkness has boarded with them, a mysterious stowaway that can erase everything. And everyone.
