Kelly Bishop is a Tony Award-winning dancer and actress best known for her roles as matriarch Emily Gilmore in the beloved Emmy Award-winning show Gilmore Girls and as Marjorie Houseman in the hit film Dirty Dancing. Bishop had her breakthrough performance in the role of Sheila Bryant in the iconic musical A Chorus Line. Bishop's onscreen experience has also included the films Six Degrees of Separation and Private Parts, as well as television roles on Law & Order: SVU, The Good Wife, The Thorns, and sensation The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, among others. She lives in New Jersey.
