Fig Tree produces entertaining, well-written books in tune with the times: literary and commercial fiction, history, biography, memoir, style, art and cookery.

More about Fig Tree

Fig Tree was founded in 2005 to publish well-written, narrative-driven, entertaining and occasionally provocative books that tap into the zeitgeist. Most of our readers and authors are women. Nearly three-quarters of our list is fiction, both literary – Zoë Heller and Penelope Lively – and unashamedly commercial – Marina Lewycka, India Knight and Kathryn Stockett. We also publish history, art history, memoir and beautifully designed and produced illustrated cookery titles.
