We Only Have The Summer

From a young age, Maddie has single-mindedly pursued a career in dance, but following the death of Beau, her partner in work and in life, she’s lost her love for her greatest passion. Taking a sabbatical for the summer, she goes to Revelstoke, the Canadian railway mountain town where Beau spent much of his childhood and the place where he’s laid to rest. Maddie blames himself for his death, but she hopes that in his hometown she’ll find a way to heal, forgive herself and ultimately rediscover her love of dance.

Miles is also back in Revelstoke, having quit his high-powered job 350 miles away in Vancouver to spend more time with the eight-year-old son he barely knows or understands. Maddie, his new neighbour, helps them to find ways to bond, and they find themselves growing close in the process. But Maddie can’t fall for Miles. Her life is in London and he won’t abandon his son again – loving him would mean sacrificing her dreams.

It’s an impossible choice.
